Is Your Computer Damaging Your Posture?

Is Your Computer Damaging Your Posture?

This is how you can maintain good posture while working on the computer

Since online school and working from home has become our new norm here are a few tips and tricks to maintain good posture. One of the most common postural issues is forward head posture, some of the many things that lead to forward head posture is computer ergonomics, video games, and backpacks. Positioning computer screens too low leads to looking down and  moving the head forward to read the screen. To avoid forward head posture, you will need to reposition your work area. Start by keeping hips, knees, and elbows at 90 degrees. Along with having the computer screen just above eye level and having your keyboard close to your bellybutton with your elbows on an armrest. Keeping your back upright with a pillow supporting the curve in your low back is key. Every 20-30 minutes, sit up straight and pull the neck and head back over the shoulders.
